The Krieghoff CLASSIC is a double rifle that combines the heritage of the traditional side-by-side and the sophistication of the most modern design and manufacturing technology. The CLASSIC is available in the most common and suitable calibers.

Krieghoff's master gunmakers combined both traditional wisdom and innovative ideas to build a rifle that provides the ultimate in safety and reliability and a wide range of features that insure smooth, quick, and accurate shooting.

In addition to the superb handling of the rifle, a most important feature is the manual cocking device, which is located on the top tang, in the position usually occupied by a conventional safety. It allows carrying the CLASSIC fully loaded with the hammers uncocked - the safest position since there is no chance of an accidental discharge.

Calibers available are .375 H&H Flanged Mag. N.E., .375 H&H Mag., .500/.416 N.E. (3 1/4“), .416 Rigby, .458 Win.Mag., .470 N.E., .500 N.E. (3“) – the most effective on dangerous game and the choice of professional hunters and their most knowledgeable clients.
Standard features of the Classic“Big Five“ are the Universal Trigger System; Combi Cocking Device; steel trigger guard; steel trigger floorplate; and a specially weighted stock bolt that provides optimum weight and balance.
A hinged front trigger protects the forefinger from big caliber recoil. (Note that the Krieghoff hair trigger is not available on the Classic in “Big Five“ calibers.)
A choice of sights is available. A rectangular rear sight with rectangular foresight, or a V-shaped rear sight with bead foresight are standard. Folding and express sights are optional.
Every Classic rifle, regardless of caliber or grade, is built around an identical action to which any number of barrels may be fit.
